Thailand
I love Thailand! From the stunning beaches in Phuket and The Phi Phi Islands to the vibrant city of Bangkok, it is an incredible country!
I have visited twice, once in 2020 and again very recently in February 2025. The food is amazing, with so many small street food vendors and great restaurants! As a bonus Thailand is so cheap!
Generally, the best time to travel to Thailand is through the UK winter, perfect to avoid the cold temperatures! The rainy season in Thailand is through the UK summer months, except Koh Samui.

Lake Garda, Italy
Lake Garda is another stunning destination! It is a mixture of beach and mountains in one place! It is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, charming towns, and a wide array of activities.
You can travel up and down the Lake using the boats, buses or even hire a car! The further north you go up the Lake, the dramatic mountain views begin to appear.
Day trips to Venice, Verona, Milan, Rome and Bologna are all possible, making it a perfect destination to choose!
The flight time is less than 2 hours from any part of the UK, making it ideal for a closer to home dream destination!

Svalbard, Norway
This is a unique destination and didn't feel real to travel to! I visited in November 2024. I stayed for 3 nights and did not see the sunrise or sunset. For around 4 months of the year, this small island is in permanent darkness and then 4 months of the year is in permanent daylight.
It has the northernmost airport in the world and only around 650 miles from the North Pole, however is relatively easy to get to from the UK with a 1 stop connection through Oslo.
You can go ice caving and see the northern lights. It is an unbelievable place to visit and so different to anywhere I have ever been to!
