The Team at Hays Travel Hythe took part in a sponsored abseil down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth in aid of The Handy Trust. The Handy Trust is a local charity that helps advance the education of and provide counselling to young people in Hythe and surrounding areas. The charity focusses it work on vulnerable and disadvantaged young people, many who struggle with everyday scenarios.
The branch decided to do an abseil down the Spinnaker Tower as they knew that they would be able to successfully fundraise due to the bravery it takes to do an abseil. When the team arrived, despite the winds, they were able to abseil down the tower at the same time and had a great time going down the tower. The team had a fantastic time and even more so knowing that they completed the highest abseil in the UK.
In total, the branch raised over £400 which will make a massive difference to the charity.
