Hays Travel Castleford arranged an event on the day of the Christmas light switch on in aid of Smiles for Miles. Smiles for Miles is an organisation that helps those impacted by the cost of living crisis, and is a school uniform donation hub which supplies new and preloved uniform to vulnerable families and children in the area.

The branch held a Christmas themed tombola, bake sale and a Christmas themed bear raffle as well as a raffle with prizes kindly donated by local businesses. In total, the branch managed to raise over £1,300 for Smiles for Miles, which will have a great impact on helping those who need it the most in the community.
