Day 1: UK - Interlaken

Fly to Zurich, then catch the rail transfer from Zurich to Interlaken. This afternoon, enjoy a short stroll through this famous resort - also called the getaway to the Jungfrau Region.

Day 2: Jungfraujoch

Embark on a day excursion today to Jungfraujoch (the Top of Europe), which is the highest train station in Europe at 3,454m (11,332ft). See the impressive views of snow-capped peaks and the Aletsch glacier, the longest glacier in Europe at 22km (13.6miles) and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Take the time to stop at Kleine Scheidegg or Grindelwald for more views of this popular holiday region.

Travel by rail through the Bernese Oberland and via Lötschberg to the resort of Zermatt at the foot of the Matterhorn. Enjoy the picturesque scenery and stop at some of the traditional resorts along the way.

Day 4: Gornergrat

Head on your excursion by cogwheel train to the Gornergrat, where you will have superb views of the Matterhorn, Mont Blanc and other snow-capped mountain peaks rising above 4,000m (13,123ft). The train leaves Zermatt to climb in approximately 32 minutes over impressive bridges, through galleries and tunnels, idyllic forests and alpine meadows, passing rocky gorges and mountain lakes to reach the top with some of the best views of the famous Matterhorn.

Day 5: Zermatt - UK

Catch your rail transfer back to the airport for your flight home to the UK.
