One of the oldest amusement parks in the world, Tivoli Gardens is a must-visit, especially for those travelling with family. The park offers rip-roaring rides, beautiful gardens, theatres, festive lights and, our personal favourite, retro Bumper Cars. It's a magical experience, especially in the evening when the lights come on, creating a fairy-tale atmosphere. The entrance fee doesn’t include ride prices, so it’s great if you aren’t a fan of theme park thrills and simply want to wander through its whimsical fairytale décor. 

Famous for its colourful houses and charming boats, Nyhavn is one of the most picturesque spots in Copenhagen. Take a boat tour along the canal or simply enjoy a leisurely walk along the water, lined with cafes and restaurants. It's a great place to relax and take in the scenic beauty. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s famous fairy tale, the Little Mermaid statue is one of Copenhagen’s most iconic landmarks. While it’s smaller than many visitors expect, it remains a must-see for its cultural significance and the beautiful waterfront setting.

Step back in time with a visit to Rosenborg Castle, home to the Danish royal crown jewels and an impressive collection of Renaissance art. Set in the tranquil King’s Garden, the castle is as beautiful as it is historic, offering a glimpse into Denmark's royal heritage. For history lovers, the National Museum is a fascinating next stop. This museum houses artefacts from Denmark's past, including Viking treasures, medieval art, and exhibitions about the country’s cultural evolution. The museum’s interactive exhibits make it especially fun for families. If your history buzz is still ignited, a visit to Christiansborg Palace offers a deep dive into Danish history and politics whereas the Amalienborg Palace is an elegant place to explore. Don’t miss the changing of the guard ceremony, which takes place daily.
