How can I book a holiday on your site?

To book your holiday, simply go to our home page then select the Airport you want to depart from, the destination you want to go to, the date you want to depart for your holiday on, the amount of nights you want to stay and how many passengers will be traveling. After this a list of deal will be presented to you to choose from that should suit your requirements. If you'd rather speak to someone over the phone, you can book with one of our friendly travel consultants on 0800 408 4048 which are available from 8am to 10pm or you can visit on of our local branches. 

How long will it take for my booking summary to come through?

Where an email address has been provided, a confirmation email containing your booking summary will be sent to you within 48 hours.

How late can I book a Holiday?

The latest you can book your holiday is a week before it is due to start. This can be done through online booking, contacting a member of our Sales Team on 0800 408 4048 which are available from 8am to 10pm or in one of our local branches.

Can I book a holiday without having an e-mail address?

Yes, this can be done through phoning a member of our friendly Sales Team on 0800 408 4048 which are available from 8am to 10pm or by visiting one of our branches. Our branches opening times are typically from 9:15 till 17:30. Some branches may have different opening and closing times which you can check with our branch locator on the main page and find the nearest branch to you.

Can I book a Holiday for someone else?

To make a booking the lead name booking the holiday will need to also be listed as travelling.

Can we buy travel insurance through Hays Travel?

Yes, you are able to buy travel insurance through Hays Travel during the booking process. This can be done through our branch agents and our friendly Sales Team on 0800 408 4048 which are available from 8am to 10pm. This feature will be added as an option for your online bookings in the future.

I am being asked for my quotation reference number when I phone. What is this?

This number is used by our team to bring up all the information for the specific holiday you have chosen. This makes it easier for our team to help you with any queries you have about the details of the holiday. This reference number is found under the price of the holiday after you have pressed select holiday.

What age ranges define Senior Citizens, Adults, Children and Infants?

How old is a Senior Citizen? - For travel purposes, a Senior Citizen is someone who will be 60 or over on their return date to the UK.

How old is an Adult? An Adult in the UK is classed as anyone above the age of 18.

How old is a Child? A Child in the UK is classed as anyone from the age of 2 -12. This may change depending on the supplier which should be indicated on their website. 

How old is an Infant? - An infant will be under 2 years old on their return date to the UK. 

When booking your passengers, the type of passenger will change depending on what their age will be when they return to the UK from their holiday. An example of this is if a 1 year old returns to the UK and is now 2 years old they will need to be classed as a child passenger. 

When booking by phone, will I be given a booking reference number?

Yes, you will be provided with a booking reference number, once your holiday booking has been completed with one of our friendly sales team. We advise you to make a note of this number, or this can be sent to an email, which you should use in all future communications with Hays Travel.

When do I receive my confirmation email?

A confirmation email will be sent immediately upon your holiday being booked and then you will then receive a Booking Summary within 24 hours.

How can I contact the Sales Team to obtain a quote on a holiday booking?

If you have already obtained a quotation via our website, then you can speed up your telephone enquiry by providing the reference number given. Speak to one of our sales team on 0800 408 4048 – our opening hours are Monday to Sunday 08:00 - 22:00

What is a fuel supplement?

Some tour operator and airlines add a fuel supplement to your holiday costs. This additional amount is usually to cover future rises in the cost of fuel.

How far in advance can I book my holiday?

When choosing a date on the home page, you will be shown a calendar which will show the available dates you can choose from. The furthest in advance you can book a holiday is normally around 14 months.
