Munich is my favourite European city. With the Alps as a backdrop and its fairytale houses, Munich is certainly easy on the eye. In the winter months, a highlight of Munich is the famous Christmas Markets. With plenty of traditional foods like bratwurst and sauerkraut, and fine German beers, you will never go hungry or thirsty. In the centre of the markets is the ice skating rink where if you are steady on your feet, you can get lots of Christmas photos. Whilst in Munich, I would recommend going to the traditional German beer halls with its party atmosphere and its large food portions, you can stay for hours.

For football fans, a trip to the Allianz Arena to watch Bayern Munich is a must. Only 2 and a half hours from the UK, Munich is easy to get to but the experience means its hard to leave.

New Zealand is my favourite long haul destination. The country is made up of two islands – the North and the South islands. The North island has a tropical climate and volcanic landscape which is a contrast to the South island that has steep mountain fjords.

My favourite city in New Zealand is Auckland where the trendy harbour bars are overlooked by the gigantic office towers in the Central Business District (CBD). All the features of Auckland can be observed from the Sky Tower which shows off the stunning scenery from a birds eye view. Further north is the Bay of Islands where dolphins can be spotted in the crystal clear waters. This part of New Zealand is visited by cruise ships for its natural beauty and laid back lifestyle, which perfectly encapsulates the kiwi way of life. Even though the country is on the other side of the world, it has me wanting to visit over and over again.

Santorini is a stunning destination with its bright white houses nestled on the side of the caldera cliffs and its crystal clear Aegean waters. Both Thira and Oia are perfect for any budding photographers and are only a short bus ride away from each other. Santorini has so much more to offer than the scenery, it has many traditional Greek restaurants, tavernas and wineries. Sunsets on Santorini are something of a showcase and can be watched almost anywhere on the island, but I would recommend either a rooftop restaurant or one of the many sunset cruises. The island is perfect for a romantic getaway or a nice chilled beach holiday where you can watch your worries go down with the sunset.
