For me, Spain has it all and in abundance.  From breath-taking beaches, cities of history and culture, quaint villages, mountain ranges and stunning islands; there is something for everyone.  I have experienced fun filled weekends away with friends in Estaponia (Costa del Sol), San Antonio (Ibiza) and Barcelona (Catalunya), family beach holidays in Denia (Costa Blanca), Cala Llonga (Ibiza) and Punta Prima (Menorca), and romantic getaways in Marbella and San Pedro (Costa del Sol) to name but a few.

Families, walkers, cyclists, wind surfers, paddle boarders, artists, golfers and just kick-back-and-relaxers will all find Spain has loads to offer.  The cuisine is also worth mentioning – from lovely fresh seafood to traditional tapas, eating out in Spain Is a laid back and relaxing experience.

For the past 10 years my family has enjoyed a week of skiing in the French resort of La Plagne, a vast skiing area, with chalet accommodation in ski door to door locations and excellent runs for all abilities.  I have also spent time in the Three Valleys resorts of Meribel, Courchevel and La Tania.

As well as the ski runs, there are plenty of other activities available for non-skiers or boarders – such as snowshoeing , tobogganing, ice rinks, and magical walking routes.  Of course there is also the wonderful apres-ski vibe – I can’t resist a glass of Genepi liqueur and a mountain view!

I have visited 5 of the Greek Islands (Mykanos, Santorini, Corfu, Rhodes and Crete) with groups of family and friends, enjoying lazy beach days, walks around historical towns, relaxing boat trips and stunning views from cable car rides. What draws me back is the friendliness of the people, the relaxed atmosphere and the breath-taking scenery.  I hope to be able to add a few more to my list soon!
