Terms and Conditions

Win a £5,000 holiday & £1,000 on your Hays Travel Mastercard ® (the “Promotion”) is promoted by Hays Travel (the “Promoter”), registered Office: Gilbridge House, Keel Square, Sunderland SR1 3HA, in partnership with the programme manager, Mastercard Prepaid Management Services Ltd (“Mastercard”).

By entering the Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1.    All entrants must be aged 18 or over and UK residents.
2.    Promoter employees and family of employees are not permitted to enter. If an employee family member is drawn, they will be disqualified, and a new winner will be selected.
3.    To qualify, the entrant must purchase and load, or top up, their Hays Travel Mastercard® (“card”) with £500 or more (in any currency available on the card) between the dates of 9.00 am Thursday 01 August 2024, and 11.59pm Monday 30 September 2024. Entry is applicable every time £500 or more is loaded onto the card. All applicable loads will automatically be entered into the draw. If you wish to opt out of the Promotion, please email prepaidmgmt_legal@mastercard.com from your registered email address with your name and last four digits of your card number. You will be removed from the draw. 
4.    Prize: 1 x £5,000 Hays Travel Gift Card and £1,000 loaded on your Hays Travel Mastercard.  The Hays Travel Gift Card is valid for 12 months after the date of issue for any travel arrangements (package holidays, accommodation, or flights).  Gift cards are not transferable for cash or currency.  In the event of the holiday costing less than the value of the vouchers, the balance will not be redeemable in cash.  All holidays are governed by the terms and conditions of the relevant tour operator.                               Runner-up Prize: 10 x runners up will receive £1,000 loaded onto their Hays Travel Mastercard.
5.    The winners will be drawn at random from eligible entries on Monday 07 October 2024, by Mastercard. The winners will be notified by Hays Travel within 7 calendar days from the date of the draw via email to the email address registered to the card account.
6.    The winners will have five (5) calendar days from receipt of the winning notification to:
a.    Acknowledge the Prize via the instructions in the notification;
b.    Provide a valid ID in the form of a passport or driver’s license; and
c.    Confirm they wish to accept the Prize.
7.    If a winner does not respond within 5 calendar days of notification, another winner will be selected at random from the remaining entries.
8.    The Promoter’s announcement of the winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
9.    Prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available.
10.    The Promoter and Mastercard shall not be responsible for damages, losses, or liabilities of any kind, including without limitation, direct or consequential loss or damages arising out of or in relation to the prize draw. Nothing in this condition shall limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury as a result of the Promoter’s negligence or for any fraud or fraudulent misrepresentations committed by the Promoter.
11.    The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the Promotion or amend these Terms and Conditions with or without prior notice at any time, for whatever reason, and without liability to any entrant for doing so.
12.    The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault of any kind.
13.    The winner of the £5,000 Hays Travel Gift Card will be asked to collect their prize from the local Promoter branch. The Promoter will load £1,000 to Prize winner’s and 10x Runner-Up Prize winner’s respective card. 
14.    Winners may be asked to participate in non-paid publicity.
15.    Winners must comply with holiday destination entry regulations including visa requirements. The Promoter is not responsible for costs or organisation associated with these elements. Travel insurance and expenses are not included.
16.    In the event of a holiday provider collapse or cancellations the Promoter will seek to arrange an alternative holiday once any costs relating to these cancellations have been paid according to the holiday provider T&Cs
17.    The winners’ surnames and counties can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Hays Travel, Gilbridge House, Keel Square, Sunderland SR1 3HA, within thirty (30) calendar days after the Promotion Period. If a winner objects to any or all of their surname and county being made available, the winner must notify the Promoter by writing to the address above, however, the Promoter must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
18.    This offer is subject to the laws of England & Wales and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
19.    If any of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of these terms and conditions shall remain valid and enforceable.
