Itinerary

Days 1-2: UK - Colombo
Embark on your journey, with an overnight flight to Colombo. On arrival, transfer to your hotel in Negombo and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3: Negombo - Habarana
Head to Lellama, the local fish market, where the day’s catch is traded. Then get ready for the city of Habarana.

Day 4: Habarana - Jaffna
Embark on a spectacular train ride to Jaffna. Visit to the Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil, to witness the ‘cradle worship of Lord Shiva’ ceremony in one of the most significant Hindu temples in Sri Lanka.

Day 5: Jaffna
Explore Jaffna. Beginning from Point Pedro, witness the Point Pedro lighthouse. Tour the historic gateways, nmoats, and barracks of the Jaffna Fort.

Day 6: Jaffna
Set out for a trip to Kandarodai Temple. Afterwards, enjoy lunch overlooking the Hammonheil Fort. Visit the colourful Jaffna Town marketplace. Delight in the powder-soft sands of Casuarina Beach.

Day 7: Jaffna - Nilaveli
Travel to the idyllic coastal town of Nilaveli, through Vavuniya and Horowpothana. Visit a school in a local village en route and participate in a community program, planting trees.

Day 8: Nilaveli
Enjoy a morning at leisure. Later, embark on a city tour of Trincomalee, visiting Fort Fredrick. Head to the Hindu temple ‘Koneswaram’ and the spectacular Bhadrakali Amman Temple.

Day 9: Nilaveli - Mahiyanganaya
Embark on a coastal journey towards Mahiyanganaya via the resort town of Pasikudah and the heritage site of Dimbulagala.

Day 10: Mahiyanganaya - Ella
Watch the sun rise over the beautiful Sorabora lake. The tour continues towards Ella via Badulla, showcasing the stunning Demodara Nine Arches Bridge along the way.

Day 11: Ella
Embark on a short hike to enjoy the breathtaking 360-degree views at the Little Adam’s Peak. Afterwards, make an afternoon visit to the Dhowa Temple.

Day 12: Ella - Colombo
Proceed to the Ella Railway Station for one of the top 10 scenic train rides in the world. This spectacular journey will take you through breathtaking scenery, all the way to Hatton, where you will board a coach to Colombo.

Day 13: Colombo - UK
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
