Day 1: Overnight flight to Auckland

Day 3: Arrival in Auckland

Arrive in Auckland, transfer to our hotel and enjoy time at leisure in the city.

Day 4: Bay of Islands

See the giant Kauri trees of Parry Kauri Park and visit Waitangi Treaty House in the Bay of Islands.

Day 5: Bay Of Islands cruise

Enjoy views of the Bay of Islands by boat and visit Russell, the first European settlement.

Day 6: Auckland

Embark on a sightseeing tour of ‘City of Sails’ and visit Auckland Museum.

Day 7: Waitomo Caves & Rotorua

Gaze in awe at the extensive underground cave system in Waitomo, visit Rotorua and tuck into a traditional Hangi buffet.

Day 8: Free Day or Middle Earth

Adventure to Middle Earth on a visit to the Hobbiton movie set and enjoy free time in Rotorua.

Day 9: Napier

Hear the water rush over Huka Falls and see the Art Deco architecture of Napier on a tour.

Day 10: Wellington

Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Wellington and visit the Te Papa National Museum and Art Gallery.

Day 11: Nelson

Sail across Cook Strait and head to Marlborough for a tasting in the world-famous wine region before arriving in Nelson.

Day 12: Abel Tasman cruise

Cruise through Abel Tasman National Park on a scenic catamaran cruise, then enjoy a leisurely afternoon in Nelson.

Day 13: Christchurch

Travel through the Maruia Forest, over Lewis Pass we stop off at Hanmer Springs, before arriving in Christchurch.

Day 14: Tranzalpine train & helicopter flight

Enjoy a scenic journey to Arthur's Pass on the TranzAlpine train and birds-eye views of Franz Josef Glacier by helicopter.

Day 15: Queenstown

Continuing south, we’ll travel past deserted beaches, through vibrant rainforests.

Day 16: Free day in Queenstown

Enjoy a day at leisure in the adventure capital of the world, Queenstown.

Day 17: Milford Sound cruise

Take a boat trip on the deep fjord Thermal pool in Waiotapu and visit the glow worm caves.

Day 18: Omarama

Travel through New Zealand’s most epic landscapes and visit charming Arrowtown.

Day 19: Mount Cook

See the spectacular sights of Mount Cook and Lake Tekapo.

Day 20: Journey home
