Today, you’ll travel from Christchurch to the stunning Mt Cook National Park, but not before a city tour of Christchurch. On the way, make a stop at Lake Tekapo, known for its beautiful turquoise waters and the iconic Church of the Good Shepherd. As you arrive at Mt Cook, take a moment to soak in the views of New Zealand’s highest peak. If you’re up for a little adventure, hop on a scenic flight and enjoy the stunning scenery. Then, head to Twizel, a quaint town where you can relax and take in the views of the Southern Alps.

Today, you’ll make your way south to Dunedin. As you drive along the Otago Peninsula, you’ll be surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in New Zealand. Keep an eye out for wildlife, like the majestic Royal Albatross. Once in Dunedin, you’ll join a city tour before you have free time to visit the Otago Harbour or explore the city’s street art and galleries before grabbing dinner.

This morning, you’ll drive toward Te Anau, passing through rolling hills, beautiful rural landscapes and Larnach Castle where you will stop for a tour of the region’s scandalous history. Te Anau, often called the gateway to Fiordland, is a lovely town by the lake. Once you’ve checked in, you can explore the town, take a scenic boat tour on Lake Te Anau, or head to Te Anau Glowworm Caves.

Today is all about the breathtaking Milford Sound. After a scenic drive through Fiordland National Park, you’ll board a fjord cruise and be awestruck by towering cliffs, lush greenery, and cascading waterfalls. See the spectacular Bowen Falls and towering Mitre Peak as you enjoy lunch. After soaking in the beauty of Milford Sound, you’ll continue your journey to Queenstown, the adventure capital of New Zealand.

Today is all about exploring Queenstown. If you’re in the mood for adventure, consider a thrilling activity like a jet boat ride, a bungee jump, or a scenic gondola ride up Bob’s Peak. This evening you will board the vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw and cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Station, feast on a gourmet BBQ dinner, and party to the sounds of piano.

Today, you’ll drive through some of the most dramatic landscapes in New Zealand. As you journey through Arthur’s Pass, you’ll be treated to views of rugged mountains, lush rainforests, and stunning valleys. Arriving back in Christchurch, take some time to relax or explore the city’s charming streets and cafes before enjoying your evening.

Travel to Hokitika and visit the Greenstone Factory. Continue into Arthur’s Pass and board the TranzAlpine, renowned as one of the great train journeys of the world. View rivers and valleys as you travel through the Waimakariri Basin, over massive viaducts and through the patchwork farmlands of the Canterbury Plains. On arrival into the elegant city of Christchurch, your coach will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel.

Your journey continues with a scenic drive to Picton, where you’ll board a ferry to Wellington. The ferry ride across the Cook Strait is a highlight of the trip, offering incredible views of the Marlborough Sounds and the Wellington coastline. Once in Wellington, explore the capital city’s vibrant arts scene, beautiful waterfront, and charming cafes.

Today, enjoy a full day exploring Wellington. Visit Te Papa, New Zealand’s national museum, which offers fascinating exhibits on the country’s history and culture. Take a ride on the Wellington Cable Car for stunning views over the city, or head up to Mount Victoria for panoramic vistas. In the evening, enjoy Wellington’s lively nightlife and food scene.

Today, you’ll make your way to Rotorua, but not before stopping at Taupo. Explore the stunning Lake Taupo, the largest freshwater lake in New Zealand, and visit the spectacular Huka Falls. Afterwards, continue to Rotorua, famous for its geothermal activity, bubbling mud pools, and hot springs.

Spend the day in Rotorua, where there’s so much to see and do. Start your morning with a gondola ride and breakfast at Skyline Rotorua. There is also time for a thrilling luge ride! The next stop is Agrodome for an action-packed hour of amazing farming entertainment after which the afternoon is yours. Visit the famous geysers and hot springs at Wai-O-Tapu, if you’re after something more relaxing, treat yourself to a spa experience at one of Rotorua’s thermal hot pools. This evening experience an entertaining Māori Hāngi and Concert.

Today, you’ll head north to the beautiful Bay of Islands. This stunning area is famous for its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and historical significance. Check into your accommodation and enjoy a guided tour of the Waitangi Treaty Grounds.

Enjoy another day in the Bay of Islands! Spend your time aboard a luxury catamaran set for Cape Brett to see the famous Hole in the Rock.
