This amazing 13-night Western Australia Road Trip gets underway with two nights in the city of Perth – gateway to Kings Park and Botanic Garden, Cottesloe Beach, Elizabeth Quay, and Fremantle. You’ll then hit the open road behind the wheel of your campervan along Western Australia’s scenic coastline with one or two-night stays in Cervantes, Geraldton, Kalbarri, Shark Bay, Coral Bay, Exmouth, and Karijini National Park en-route to your final destination of Broome.

Days 1 to 2: Perth – Pensione Hotel Perth


Start your Western Australia adventure in the vibrant city of Perth. Spend time exploring the lush Kings Park and Botanic Garden, where you’ll get stunning views of the city and Swan River. Discover the historic charm of Fremantle with its bustling markets, unique cafes, and the famous Fremantle Prison. Day 3: Perth to Cervantes (250km – 2.5 hours)

Leave Perth behind and drive north to the coastal town of Cervantes. Along the way, stop at Yanchep National Park to spot koalas and kangaroos in their natural habitat. Your next stop is the otherworldly Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park, where you can wander through thousands of ancient limestone pillars. Day 4: Cervantes to Geraldton (200km – 2 hours)

Travel from Cervantes to Geraldton, stopping to marvel at the vibrant pink waters of Hutt Lagoon near Port Gregory. Once in Geraldton, visit the HMAS Sydney II Memorial and unwind at the local beaches in this laid-back coastal town.

Days 5 to 6: Geraldton to Kalbarri (155km – 1.5 hours)

Head from Geraldton to the stunning coastal town of Kalbarri. Explore the breath-taking Kalbarri National Park, home to iconic landmarks like Nature’s Window and the dramatic Z-Bend Gorge. Along the way, stop at the striking Red Bluff and Mushroom Rock for incredible views of Kalbarri’s rugged coastal cliffs. The mix of ocean vistas and deep gorges makes this leg of the trip unforgettable.

Day 7: Kalbarri to Shark Bay/Denham (380km – 4 hours)

Travel from Kalbarri to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Shark Bay. Visit Shell Beach, made entirely of tiny white shells, and head to Monkey Mia to see wild dolphins up close. Enjoy the natural beauty and wildlife of this unique coastal region.

Days 8 to 9: Shark Bay to Coral Bay (580km – 6 hours)

Journey from Shark Bay to the serene paradise of Coral Bay, where the pristine Ningaloo Reef awaits. Snorkel straight off the beach to discover vibrant coral gardens teeming with marine life. This stretch of the coast offers opportunities to swim with whale sharks (seasonal) and manta rays, or simply relax and enjoy the stunning turquoise waters and laid-back atmosphere of Coral Bay.

Days 10 to 11: Coral Bay to Exmouth (155km – 2 hours)

Travel from Coral Bay to Exmouth, the gateway to Cape Range National Park and the stunning Ningaloo Reef. Explore Turquoise Bay, known for its incredible snorkelling; where you can drift among colourful coral and marine life. Take time to visit Yardie Creek Gorge for a scenic hike or boat tour through the dramatic landscape. Exmouth is a haven for nature lovers and the perfect base for more Ningaloo adventures.

Day 12: Exmouth to Karijini National Park (700km – 7.5 hours)

Travel inland to the rugged beauty of Karijini National Park; known for its deep gorges, stunning waterfalls, and refreshing natural pools. Explore highlights like Fern Pool and Hancock Gorge for an unforgettable outback adventure.

Day 13: Karijini to Broome (850km – 9 hours)

Complete your road trip with a journey to Broome, a tropical oasis on the Indian Ocean. Relax on the famous white sands of Cable Beach, watch a stunning sunset, and explore the fascinating Gantheaume Point; known for its red cliffs and dinosaur footprints.
