Accessing Western Australia has never been easier. Perth is the shortest flight from the UK and the only city with a direct flight, making it the ideal gateway into Australia. Qantas’ non stop flight leaves London at lunchtime, whizzing you overnight to Australia’s sunniest city, where you can dip your toes in the Indian Ocean by mid-afternoon. Numerous other airlines, (British Airways, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and Qatar Airways) providing regular services, with flights connect to Perth via stopovers in multiple destinations like Dubai, Singapore, and Doha. Another way to access this dream state, is on the direct Jetstar Asia seasonal service that connects Singapore to Broome in a quick 4.5 hour flight.

Once in Perth, carriers like Qantas, Virgin Australia, and Rex offer easy access to regional destinations such as Broome, Kalgoorlie, and Exmouth; making it simple to explore the whole of Western Australia.

The headline sporting drama of the Ashes Series cricket returns to Australia in winter 2025-26 with matches at Perth’s award-winning Optus Stadium. The 60,000-seat stadium also hosts the British and Irish Lions Tour on 28 June 2025; alongside a yearly calendar of Australian Football League and Big Bash League matches and headline concerts from the likes of Coldplay and Ed Sheeran. The FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) on 23 and 24 November 2024 and HBS SVNS Perth 2025 from 24 to 26 January 2025 also take place in Perth.
