Getting There
Get here from there!
Birmingham, Alabama, is easily accessible from the UK. Travellers can fly from London Heathrow to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport with selected airlines. From Atlanta, Birmingham is just a two-hour drive or a short connecting flight. Flight times are approximately nine hours. Alternatively, fly into Nashville International Airport, followed by a three-hour drive to Birmingham. This makes it perfect for a twin-centre trip, combining Birmingham’s rich history and culture with the vibrant scenes of Atlanta or Nashville!

3. Learn at the Birmingham Civil Rights District. This six block area is home to many important places of history from the protests and demonstrations. Places such as the 16th Street Baptist Church and Carver Theatre are visitable today after being made historical site. A place for those interested in important parts of American history.
4. Taste the Local Craft Beer. Birmingham is a hot spot for craft beer and over a dozen breweries. You can take tours in three of the breweries and sample tasting. Another of these breweries is also home to a gallery that displays art from the local community. A perfect spot to take in some of the city’s culture.
