Itinerary

Day 1: UK - Cape Town
On arrival in Cape Town, collect your vehicle and drive to the Commodore Hotel to check in for 3 nights.

Day 2: Cape Town
Spend a day in Cape Town at your leisure. Perhaps visit Table Mountain, taking the cable car to the summit for incredible panoramic views.

Day 3: Cape Town
Take advantage of your final day in Cape Town with a self-guided tour of the city or consider booking a tour to visit Robben Island – the infamous island where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years imprisoned.

Day 4: Cape Town - Franschhoek
Begin your journey through the picturesque rolling vineyards of South Africa’s wine region. Head towards Franschhoek, where you will check into the beautiful Franschhoek Boutique Hotel for 2 nights, enjoying a gourmet lunch and local wines on arrival.
Day 5: Franschhoek
Enjoy a free day exploring the charming town of Franschhoek, known for its world class wineries.

Day 6: Franschhoek - Hermanus
Journey from Franschhoek to Hermanus, a small coastal town known for shark cage diving. Explore the scenic Hermanus Cliff Path, looking out for marine wildlife along the shore.

Day 7: Hermanus - Plettenberg Bay
Today, drive from Hermanus to Plettenberg bay, stopping off at the pretty coastal towns of George, Wilderness and Knysna on the way. Check into your hotel for 2 nights in Plettenberg Bay.

Day 8: Plettenberg Bay
For your first full day in Plettenberg, enjoy the sweeping golden beaches, upmarket boutiques and cafes and explore the indigenous forest.

Day 9: Plettenberg Bay
Spend today in the nearby Tsitsikamma National Park and explore the Storms River Mouth area, including the dramatic suspension bridge and varied walking trails with picturesque viewpoints.

Day 10: Plettenberg Bay - Eastern Cape
Drive from Plettenberg Bay to Pumba Water Lodge in the Eastern Cape, your retreat for the next two days. Your lodge offers unparalleled views over Lake Cariega, complete with a swimming pool, perfectly located for you to enjoy thrilling game drives.

Day 11: Eastern Cape
Spend the next two days on Safari with guided Big 5 game viewing, game drives and bush walks. Catch a rare glimpse of the magnificent white lions within the reserve.

Day 12: Eastern Cape
Enjoy your final day on safari, spending some time spotting wildlife at the waterhole, and hopping aboard 4WD vehicles to spot the Big 5.

Day 13: Eastern Cape - Port Elizabeth - UK
Today, drive back to Port Elizabeth, and fly back to the UK.
