Cape Town, Rovos Rail & Zambezi Queen Delights

Day 1: UK - Cape Town

Fly from the UK to Cape Town. On arrival you'll be transferred to your hotel for a four-night stay.

Days 2 to 4: Cape Town

Spend the next few days exploring Cape Town at your leisure. Perhaps tick Table Mountain, Robben Island, and Boulder’s Beach off your bucket list.

Day 5: Rovos Rail - Cape Town

After checking out; you’ll be transferred from your hotel to the train station to board the most luxurious train in the world - Rovos Rail. Trundle through the winelands of the Western Cape towards Worcester.

Day 6: Matjiesfontein

Disembark at Matjiesfontein for an opportunity to stroll through the historic village. Of special interest is the museum on the platform and a collection of historic cars and railway carriages to the right of the Lord Milner Hotel. The train travels through the Karoo; a vast semi-desert region that was once an enormous inland sea.

Day 7: Kimberley

After breakfast, enjoy a tour of Kimberley’s Diamond Mine Museum and the Big Hole. Capital of the Northern Cape; Kimberley is well-known for the discovery of diamonds that led to its establishment in 1871. Lunch is served as the train travels northeast towards Klerksdorp and the broad grassland plains of the Highveld.

Day 8: Pretoria to Johannesburg

This part of the journey ends at Rovos Rail Station, Pretoria and you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Johannesburg for your overnight stay.

Day 9: Johannesburg

After checkout at your hotel; you’ll be transferred to the airport for your onward flight to Victoria Falls. On arrival into Victoria Falls; you'll be transferred to your hotel for a three-night stay.

Day 10 to 11: Victoria Falls

Spend the next few days in Victoria Falls. You can explore at your own leisure and even go white-water rafting.

Day 12: Victoria Falls to Zambezi River

After checking out of your hotel; you’ll be transferred to the Zambezi River to board the Zambezi Queen for your two-night cruise.

Day 13: Zambezi River

Enjoy cruising on the luxury Zambezi Queen floating hotel. Spend time on your balcony, soak up the revitalising river breeze, and appreciate uninterrupted views of the unique African landscape beyond.

Day 14: Zambezi River to Victoria Falls to UK

Today your cruise comes to an end. Disembark and be transferred to the airport for your return flight back to the UK.
