A Weekend at Secrets’ Sunny Beach

A Weekend at Secrets’ Sunny Beach

Earlier this year I had the absolute pleasure of being sent to Sunny Beach in Bulgaria, where I stayed at a hotel like no other, Secret’s Sunny Beach.

I arrived at the hotel late at night, after a long day of travelling. As soon as I got there and had a brief glance at the hotel - I knew all that travelling was worth it!

I’d done a bit of research before I arrived, so I had a small idea of what the hotel was like, but I soon realised that there was a lot more than meets the eye.

Aesthetically, it was incredible - a huge resort that ranged from the street to the Black Sea, consisting of marble structures top to bottom, pools, bars and architecture as far as the eye can see.

The rooms were something else - without a doubt the best I’d ever stayed in. The room was massive, boasting a big wardrobe, bathroom, king sized bed (extremely comfy may I add), a stocked mini fridge and an absolutely beautiful view of the resort, beach and sea. To top it all off, the air conditioning after a long day in the 30+ degree heat was an absolute godsend and always kept the room at a good temperature!

There was so much to do, but unfortunately for me, so little time to do it all. Whether you were a business or a couple, every corner was covered.

For the business side of things, there were many corporate halls, rooms, buffets at request. It was booked up a quite a lot when I visited, so it’s clearly a big selling point for the hotel.

Leisure-wise, it had everything you’d expect from a luxury all inclusive hotel. There was a fitness centre including a spa and a gym for those on a health kick, huge swimming pools for those looking to cool off, and there was entertainment throughout the day. On the night, if we had any free time, we’d sit in the auditorium with our all inclusive drinks watching a live show!

Boasting 6 restaurants and 4 bars, if you were ever peckish or thirsty, there was always something available a short walk away. The food, despite being all Inclusive, was fantastic. It was a buffet-style food hall, but everything was made fresh in front of you - and there was something for everyone, for any picky eaters out there!

You could visit the Market Cafe for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Or why not try Portofino, an a la carte restaurant, if you’re looking to sample some delicious Italian cuisine! The Barefoot Grill was great for a poolside snack while Oceana was the perfect spot for any seafood lovers. When I say that there is something for everyone, there truly is!

To top off an amazing hotel experience, it was situated perfectly - just 25 minutes away from the airport, a stone’s throw from central Sunny Beach, and right on the beautiful beach of the Black Sea. I couldn’t find a single thing to critique this experience.

To conclude, I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. If you’re looking for a summer holiday, you absolutely need to consider Secrets Sunny Beach!
